THE STORY...

As waves of Eastern Europeans arrived in Australia, many yearned the continental smallgoods once enjoyed back home. So Polish husband and wife, Marian and Nora Poprawski set out to make smoked hams, sausages, bacon, smoked salmon and many more artisan products based on century old traditions and recipes.

What began as a home based operation distributing products amongst friends expanded to a Delicatessen Smokehouse in Thomas st, Dandenong. 25+ years later, you can still buy old fashioned smallgoods straight out of the smokers. Keeping up with the times you can also enjoy specialty coffee, goodies from top notch artisan producers or raid the grab & go fridges for a house made deli sandwich or salad.

Taking over from the Poprawski's in 2013, new brother-in-law owners Bartek & Brendan have made the decision to quickly change nothing at all, honouring the traditional recipes and methods, adding ideas and their passion along the way.

Today, Uncle's expertly crafted, natural and wood smoked products are distributed to top delicatessens, food stores, grocers and on the menu's of top notch restaurants, cafe's, pubs and Hotels throughout Australia.
